Talk Abstract
Implementation Research (IR) is a systematic process of causal analysis, bottlenecks of implementation identification, and optimum strategy selection in a particular context. IR refers to the understanding of what, why, and how an intervention works in real-world settings and test approaches to improve them, introduce potential solutions to a system, or promote their large-scale use and sustainability. The presentation will showcase how implantation research facilitated evidence generation, enhanced implementation process, and identified bottlenecks. The first case study will reveal the reform of BRAC’s Innovative Health Loan in Protecting the Poor against Health and Asset Vulnerability in Bangladesh. The second case study will focus on using a single-blind randomized control trial (RCT) design to boost higher viewership of an entertainment-education campaign (TV series) on changing social norms about child marriage. Finally, the third case study will show the embedded implementation research method used in identifying MNCH implementation challenges in Forcibly Displaced Myanmar National (Rohingya Refugee) living in Cox Bazar Bangladesh.
