Foreign Language & Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships provide funding to students to encourage the study of less commonly taught foreign languages in combination with area and international studies. These fellowships are funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
The FLAS info session will review the fellowship and the application process for Summer 2024 and Academic Year 2024-25. This session is for continuing UC Berkeley graduate and undergraduate students. FLAS fellowships are offered for the following world regions: Western Europe, Russia/Eurasia/Eastern Europe, Latin America, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
Applications are due February 6 2024.
