Speaker Bio:
Mohammad Omar received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Delhi, an MSc. in International Politics from SOAS, University of London. Omar's research interests are in political ideologies and South Asian politics. His current research focuses on the rise of Hindutva nationalism in India and the impact of right wing extremism on the existence of Indian Muslims. His paper The Muslim 'Threat' in Right Wing Narratives: A Critical Discourse Ananlysis was published by the SOAS South Asia Institute.
