Shivani Sud (2013) is a PhD student in the History of Art Department at UC Berkeley. She received a B.A. in Art History from UCLA in 2012. Shivani studies the art and visual cultures of South Asia, with a particular focus on the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Broadly, her areas of interest include the cultural landscapes of British colonialism in India, postcolonial criticism, object and collecting histories, and Indian cinema. Shivani is currently working on her qualifying paper on colonial epidemiological photography.
