Hannah Archambault

Hannah Archambault studies early modern South Asia, focusing on Indo-Afghan migration, identity, and economic and political participation in the subcontinent. Her M.A. thesis (Group in Asian Studies, UC Berkeley, 2011), was titled "Shah Jahan Begum’s Taj al-iqbal: Laying the Foundations of Prosperity in Nineteenth Century Bhopal," and focused on the politics of representation in the Indo-Afghan princely state of Bhopal during the mid-nineteenth century.
